About Ventura Highspeed Internet


Ventura Highspeed is locally owned and operated by Ryan Key and Anthony Andre.  Owners reside in Ventura & Ojai, California.   

Ryan Key has an extensive computer focused background reaching back to 1990, prior to the internet, he developed one of Ojai’s first networks linking more than 150 computers. Since that entry into the world of Computer Networking, Ryan was the lead programmer, artist, and developer of the Ojai Backgrounds PC Screensaver, in a successful partnership with the creators of the award winning book Ojai. After graduating Nordhoff High School, Ryan attended Ventura College then transferred to California State University, Channel Islands majoring in Computer Science with emphasis on networking and hardware design. Since May of 2000, Ryan has worked with Dako Corporation and Nusil Technology where he had responsibility for maintaining more than 400 computers in domestic and international locations. He then worked with Ojai PC Pros for two years, overseeing the largest expansion in the company’s history. His software development while there improved productivity and saved significant labor. In February 2007 he led two partners in founding Ventura Highspeed Internet, a full service computer sales, service, and repair business in Ventura, California.
Anthony Andre has broad experience in both Windows and Mac operating systems. He is a graduate of Agawam High School in Agawam Massachusetts and attended Springfield Technical Community College focusing on computer design and networks. From 1999 to 2004 Anthony worked with S.R.S. Communications, RCN Corporation, and Whalley Computer Associates gaining skills in aerial hard-line wiring, and configuring operating systems for cable modem service, as well as computer installation, upgrades, repairs, and trouble shooting. In addition to training new employees, he developed training curriculum for hew hires and classroom forums, sold a variety of computer brands and products, worked with vendors to improve efficiency and organized/hosted a vendor/client conference for more than 400 people. He’s had experience contracting with major clients such as Mass Mutual, UCONN, UMASS, and TJX Inc. for Apple IT support. In 2004 MacHQ, Inc. relocated Anthony to Ventura, California to focus on new business development. In that role he organized and facilitated classroom training, evaluated new Apple systems, led weekly sales meetings, scheduled on-site service calls, and maintained performance tracking to ensure sales goals were met. From 2005 to 2006 he worked with Ojai PC Pros, overseeing departmental operations, improving purchasing power, and developing client relations. There he developed tracking methods to improve cash flow, sales, and customer service. In 2006 Anthony established his own business for Apple products and services. In 2007 he joined forces with Ryan Key and another partner to form Ventura Highspeed Internet bringing his extensive Customer Service and broad-based computer skills to provide both PC and Apple expertise in the new company.Together the management team brings a new level of Computer Expertise to Ventura County.
